The opportunity
CBS Finance team is seeking a strong Finance Advisor to support the EY Oceania organization. The role provides support to the Oceania CBS Finance IDC Lead on interpretation of financial information, ad hoc analysis and investigations. You will work closely with other members of the Oceania Finance team. 

This role will establish a trusted relationship with their stakeholders, understanding their needs and teaming with other Finance team members to bring best in class analytical support, functional expertise and reporting solutions.

Your key responsibilities
•    Planning, Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis for CBS Functions
•    Review and delivery of Performance reports to Leadership on a monthly /Ad-hoc basis 
•    Month End closure activities including journal posting and reconciliations 
•    Indirect cost management
•    Preparation of rolling forecast and Analysis & Insights
•    Effective escalation management skills 
•    Ensure to complete the daily, weekly and monthly check list 
•    Develop back up plan and focus on cross training the team 
•    Identify and implement process improvement ideas 
•    Training new hires once settled into the role
•    Provide value add to reports and information to stakeholders 
•    Trouble Shooting and query management 
•    Excellent communication skills – written and verbal; excellent presentation and client advisory skill 
•    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of tools, predominantly Excel and PowerPoint 
•    Ensuring adequate internal control procedures are in place
•    Driving exceptional client service
•    Perform regular analysis on areas of concern and recommend improvements 
•    Create and develop an environment to help and motivate the team members to optimize their performance and professional growth

•    Have sound understanding of basic accounting concepts
•    Good negotiation skills
•    Good judgement skills
•    Effective delegation, multitasking and attention to details
•    Understand financial reporting goals and basic process flow
•    Ability to understand numbers and arrive at inferences
•    Have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to teach the juniors

To qualify for the role, you must have
•    4+ years in financial reporting and other accounting processes.
•    B.Com or B. Business Management (with finance and accounts as subjects) 
•    Strong MS office tools – Excel, Power point skills
•    Knowledge of basic accounting concepts
•    Good communication skill

Ideally, you’ll also have
•    Exposure to Power BI, SQL or any other visualization tools
