EY- Assurance – Senior/assistant Manager- FAAS – Lease Accounting/Implementation - US GAAP/IFRS

As part of our EY-Assurance Team, the Senior/Assistant Manager will be responsible for working closely with FAAS managers and Senior Managers on clients and engagements across Americas and EMEIA to provide end to end services pertaining client onboarding.

The opportunity

We’re looking for incumbents who is responsible for the timeliness and quality of the work as per Project requirements for our FAAS team and possess strong accounting and financial reporting knowledge. The role requires prior experience and knowledge of Lease accounting and IFRS/US GAAP implementation. 

Your key responsibilities

•    Leading team of Seniors and Staffs and make sure the team delivers high–quality work, as per EY Global methodology, on time and to budget.
•    Drafting accounting policy manuals, lease adoption white papers
•    Research, assess, analyse and document operational requirements for IFRS 16/ASC 842
•    Receive direction from the Manager and Senior Manager
•    Assist the engagement team in lease implementation, data quality analysis, performing lease testing as per different scenarios, financial reports and reconciliations
•    Apply independent and objective professional judgment in applying accounting standards to meet engagement expectations, including regulatory requirements
•    Working directly with the onshore engagement team on a daily basis to deliver work to onshore clients 
•    Ensure quality in delivering client service by directing daily progress of fieldwork, informing Supervisors of engagement status
•    Follow through on client requests in a timely fashion, and manage expectations regarding the timing of 
deliverables and reports

Skills and attributes for success

•    Good understanding of IFRS/US GAAP
•    Drafting and designing accounting policies, writing technical leasing memorandums
•    Month close process support
•    Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills

To qualify for the role, you must have

•    CA, ACCA (UK), or CPA 
•    2-3 years relevant experience 

Ideally, you’ll also have

•    Proficiency in MS – Excel, MS – Office
•    Interest in business and commerciality
•    Project management skills. 
•    Flexibility and adaptability, as necessary
•    Strong communication, Interpersonal, Analytical Skills & highly proactive in approach
