Job Summary: 
We at EY are looking for a Supervising Associate for Risk Management Services (RMS) based out of Ernst & Young Global Services (Philippines), Inc. EY is a globally - integrated professional services organization that provides Advisory, Assurance, Tax and Transaction services.


The incumbent will manage the conflict checking process at RMS Centre, serving multiple customer groups and will lead a team of conflict checkers and supervisors. He/she will be responsible for the team’s productivity, quality of service, performance management and development of the team members. He/she will also assists the RMS leadership in recruitment of resources and marketing of RMS services to existing and potential customer groups.

 

Key responsibilities 
SERVICE DELIVERY: WOULD CONSTITUTE ABOUT 60% OF THE ROLE

•    Coordinates the implementation of Global Delivery Services (GDS) support to conflict checking process across multiple customers
•    Coordinates the conflict checking process in the GDS and proposes assessments, whether new engagements may create conflicts of interest according to the Global Conflicts Policy or the applicable legal or regulatory environment
•    Develops comprehensive knowledge of EY Global / local conflict policies and is able to apply them to real situations as needed
•    Builds up significant domain expertise on conflict checking and other related RMS processes and tools 
•    Develops robust process knowledge over a period of time to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME)
•    Develops comprehensive knowledge of each Service Line, Industries and local characteristics to demonstrate the ability to link-up conflict of interest situations with the rendered services
•    Responsible for quality of output through internal review mechanisms
•    Builds and manages existing and future development of Conflict Checkers at the GDN
•    Assist in managing efficiency and productivity of team members on a day-to-day basis. Ensures adherence to conflict checking work-flow protocol and tools
•    Proposes suggestions and solutions for improvements to processes. Identifies and reports best practices within area of focus
•    Coordinates training schedules for new and existing members of the GDN conflict checking team
•    Able to work with / influence wherever required people at all levels in the organization


CLIENT MANAGEMENT: WOULD BE ABOUT 10% OF THE ROLE

•    Consults with or escalates conflict checks to Area Conflicts Leaders or Sub Area Conflict Coordinators on a timely basis
•    Assist top management in meeting agreed Service Level  Agreements (SLA)
•    Assist in managing the client’s expectation through a robust client management framework


PEOPLE MANAGEMENT: WOULD BE ABOUT 30% OF THE ROLE.
•    Responsible for performance management and appraisals of counselees
•    Coaches and mentors team members for professional development, and recommends training requirements to address perceived gaps 
•    Conduct one on one meeting with each counselee at regular intervals
•    Ensure the career development plan for each team counselee is adhered
•    Be a part of hiring process


Knowledge, skills and experience requirements: 

•    Exceptional and proven customer service skills, including responsiveness and commitment to quality
•    Ability to listen to, and accurately capture, others’ ideas, expectations and concerns; should be clear and concise when responding to questions
•    Highly developed project management, verbal communication, business writing and presentation skills
•    Need to have some prior hands on experience on basic project management skills working on different time bound projects (internal and external) and managing the same effectively  
•    Unquestionably high standard of ethics, integrity, and values 
•    Highly-motivated with ability to perform well even when under pressure; proven ability to successfully complete multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
•    Excellent team attitude, inter-personal and leadership skills; proven expertise in leading 10-15 member teams

•    Ability to handle and resolve queries from the team and onshore risk team, part of the escalation matrices
•    Responsible for different KPI's for the process and communicating any deviations

 

Qualifications, certifications and education requirements: 

EDUCATION: 
•    Bachelor’s degree in Business Management or related courses

 

EXPERIENCE:  

•    At least 7-8 years of rich experience in
•    Project management
•    Compliance functions in professional service organizations
•    Business research and analysis
•    Demonstrated ability to execute against project plans and expectations
•    Well-developed analytical, interpersonal, and communication (both verbal and written) skills in English
•    Advanced MS Office knowledge ( especially in excel, presentation (ppt's)
•    Proficient research & analytical skills with knowledge of databases
