Job Description:
Tax and Compliance Associate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory agencies and assisting the Tax team with relevant tax compliance requirements. This role involves overseeing regulatory and statutory compliances, performing relevant compliance activities such as filing, coordinating, overseeing, and monitoring compliance with various government agencies, maintaining records, and protecting data and information.
Responsibilities:
• Ensures and monitors compliance with LGU, SEC, PEZA, local tax regulation and other regulatory government agencies.
• Assist in the preparation of supporting documents for local regulatory requirements tax audits and liaise with tax authorities when necessary.
• Collaborate across the organization to perform assigned duties.
• Liaise with government agencies for business development and compliance transactions.
• Maintain and organize records of all regulatory and tax-related documents, ensuring they are accurate and up-to-date.
• Keep the team and relevant stakeholders updated on regulatory and statutory updates and changes with reportorial requirements.
• Such other compliance requirements may be required from time to time.
Qualifications
• Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy.
• Minimum of two (2) or three (3) years of experience in Compliance and Tax processes
• At least one year (1) relevant experience in relevant Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes.
Other required qualifications:
• Good organizational skills.
• Capable of effectively developing and maintaining good relationships with stakeholders.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel.
