About Risk Management Services (RMS):
Risk Management Services (RMS) is an internal function within EY GDS (Global Delivery services), responsible for protecting the organization from the risks that may arise from its professional practice. We work closely with all parts of the organization to identify and manage risks, providing coordinated advice and assistance on suite of services like Independence, Conflicts, Compliance, regulatory, policy and security issues as well as dealing with claims and queries regarding ethics. Formed in 2007, the RMS team is growing rapidly as a Center of Excellence for all standardized quality/compliance related activities.
The opportunity
This opportunity will enable the professional to help the firm and its client serving professionals in making right decisions with respect to client & engagement acceptance, in sync with EY internal compliance policies and regulatory framework. This role will assist in evaluating the risks associated with each client & engagement and suggest ways to mitigate them. As an independence professional, this opportunity enables to drive projects for identifying & evaluations risks associates with firm’s audit clients, specifically maintaining firm’s independence with respect to audit clients and helping engagement teams in alleviating them.
The candidate should be comfortable working in an unstructured & complex environment requiring out of box thinking, logical reasoning, sound communication skills and ability to make quick decisions. The candidate should be able to continuously add value to assigned processes and develop solutions for situations that may not have been previously documented.
Your key responsibilities
Incumbent will perform secondary research using appropriate tools and resources. Within the scope, you will be required to:
• Perform basic research on relevant secondary sources and synthesize business information into established or customized pre-formatted knowledge deliverables
• Work independently or participate on project teams to provide research in response to requests from internal E&Y practitioners adhering to strong quality assurance standards.
• Translate complex, strategic or undefined business needs into integrated knowledge solutions, delving into the primary reason for the request and managing expectations of the requestor.
• Build collaborative relationships with RMS colleagues and requestors.
• Promote the sharing of leveraged knowledge and information resources across the firm.

To qualify for the role, you must have.
• A Bachelor's degree, ideally in Finance, Business Management, or any finance‑related field
• Work Experience: 0–1 year experience in any of the following:
o Research Analyst roles
o Finance‑related positions
o Secondary research work
o Any relevant analytical or research-focused role
• Knowledge of major research products and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, EDGAR, LinkedIn, company websites, Google search method s)
• Good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Familiarity with secondary research databases and ability to interpret independence considerations
• Ability to operate and flex in an ambiguous and changing environment to respond to emerging priorities.
• Experience of working to deadlines and delivering high quality outputs
• Ability and willingness to periodically work flexibly e.g., participating in calls outside of standard office hours (early morning/late night) to support our global organization.
Preferred Qualifications (“Plus Points”)
• Experience with data analysis tools, familiarity with financial databases, analytical writing skills, and basic understanding of regulatory/independence requirements.
