This is a great opportunity to be a part of the GDS Enablement Services (ES) Finance organization. ES Finance delivers high value finance advisory roles spanning the Financial, Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function and Controlling functions. The FP&A includes the Business Analysis & Investments (BA&I) and the Account Support sub functions. You will be leading the Core Business Services (CBS) Finance function for the ASEAN Business Unit (BU), and this will be part of the BA&I domain.

The opportunity
As the ASEAN BU Core Business Services (CBS) Finance Lead you will be the financial advisor to the Finance as well as function leaders. Example of functions: Brand Marketing & Communications, Business Development, Talent, Information Technology, Risk Management etc.  This role provides management information, financial analysis and insight on the indirect expenses, planning cycle management, forecasting, modelling, managing various ad hoc projects and leading the finance and business initiatives in support of the CBS functional leaders.  

 
Your key responsibilities
You will be a Trusted Business Advisor in managing key stakeholder relationships (Market Finance leaders, Service Line Finance Leaders, ASEAN BU Finance as well as function teams, Super Region / Global Finance and Controlling). The main responsibilities will include
•    Leading the CBS Finance function and supporting the Financial Planning cycle (Financial Plan, Forecast) processes regarding the firm’ indirect expenses, including reinforcing key operating assumptions, challenging Plan integrity and alignment with agreed targets, and providing reporting & analysis for review and approval by relevant leadership.  
•    Performing analytical review and provide financial modeling and analysis services to function leaders in support of business planning and operational decision-making.
•    Reviewing the monthly management reports and explain the indirect cost related variances with insightful business reasons. These include service line owned direct expenses as well as common functional expenses.
•    Collaborating with the functions as well as other Finance teams (Controlling) to ensure a timely month-end close as well as accrual of expenses. Coordinate on the recharge and allocation of shared costs.
•    Adopt and drive technology transformation to achieve cost avoidance/ savings and improve user experience. 
•    Continuous push to improve on cost tracking methodology and business case sign off to support CBS leaders to manage spend and promote accountability.
•    Supporting and executing Global Finance policies regarding indirect costs accounting and reporting
•    Providing support and manage CBS run initiatives as well as Finance run initiatives such as cost optimization, Mercury/SAP enhancements etc. Taking ownership of meeting the various deliverables on time and ensure outputs align to the objectives set at the Super Regional and Global levels. 
•    Managing a team of Senior Associates and Supervisors in the day to day functioning of the CBS Finance team
•    Act as counsellor and coach to the CBS PBFA professionals as required, supporting development and demonstration of Trusted Business Advisor competencies of the team.


Skills and attributes for success
We are interested in people with a very positive attitude and a penchant for constant learning. As a successful candidate you will have relevant functional experience managing the activities in a PBFA domain and also hands-on experience on technical tools like MS Office as well as ERP applications like Peoplesoft, SAP etc.
To qualify for the role you must have
•    A Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or equivalent.
•    Membership of accredited professional accounting bodies (CPA / ACCA / CIMA etc.).
•    At  least 10-12 years experience in finance related roles (mainly Financial Planning & Analysis) of which at least 4 years in a managerial role.
