As the Workplace Health & Recovery Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end claims and injury management of all workers compensation, salary continuance and other health related employee insurance claims across all Oceania jurisdictions.
This role is responsible for ensuring all claims management policies, processes and frameworks are compliant with legislative requirements, effectively manage risk and achieve optimal outcomes for all employees and EY.
Some of your key tasks include:
- End-to-end claims and injury management of all workers compensation, salary continuance and other health related employee insurance claims across all Oceania jurisdictions.
- Ability to balance and efficiently manage high volumes of claims whilst maintaining high quality and positive employee experience.
- Ensure EY people understand their rights, entitlements and responsibility as it relates to workers compensation and injury management.
- Prepare and oversee the creation and implementation of Return-to-Work plans, through consultation with all relevant stakeholders.
- Act as a subject matter expert for all claims and injury management processes, including workers compensation, salary continuance, and other health related employee insurance claims under EY policies.
- Develop and implement policies, processes and governance frameworks to ensure compliant claims management across all Oceania jurisdictions.
- Build and maintain strong relationships and partnerships across Talent and other business stakeholders to enable collaboration in the delivery of all claims management activities and projects.
What we’re looking for

- Tertiary qualifications in Allied Health, Workplace Health and Safety, or relevant industry experience, with return-to-work accreditation across multiple Australian jurisdictions and the willingness to undertake others.
- Minimum 5 years’ specialist experience across workers compensation schemes and injury management.
- Experience working across multiple insurers, insurance policies, agents, and with medical and health practitioners as part of claims management processes.
- Experience in working in a fast-paced, high-performing culture where the business is constantly evolving.
- Strong understanding of, and experience in, multiple jurisdictional legislative requirements with Australian knowledge being essential, and New Zealand experience advantageous.
- Strong stakeholder management skills and experience in navigating and influencing complex stakeholder relationships.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality and build trust.
- Experience in coaching and developing colleagues and leaders, with the ability to think critically and curiously, with an ability to challenge the status quo.
- Strong attention to detail and organisation skills, with knowledge of efficient and effective record management and case management systems.
