The opportunity
 

As our Senior Resource Coordinator you’ll be responsible for working closely together with the resource team, client serving staff and partners, and operational functions. 

This role is based in Warrang – Sydney or Naarm – Melbourne. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly. Please speak with us about potential options.

 

Your key responsibilities
 

  • The effective assignment and allocation of resources to engagements, keeping the individual’s experience including skills, industry experience, continuity and future development in mind.  This is essential for the satisfaction of our people and clients, and to the execution of quality engagements. 
  • Support effective capacity management and forecasting, enabling the practice to achieve planned utilization, optimal distribution of hours, and engagement KPIs.
  • Headcount monitoring, projection and providing relevant information on resource needs to ensure the Assurance practice has the right number of people to service their client portfolio and perform other important business activities whilst achieving the economic goals of the practice. 

 

What we look for
 

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5-7 years previous work experience, professional services experience advantageous
  • Experience working closely with large groups of people in a professional service-oriented environment (workforce planning or previous resource planning is advantageous, but not essential). 
     

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn. 
 

  • A key interest in resource management and driving best practices. 
  • An understanding of the basic financial drivers and key KPI’s of a professional services firm – particularly around production and utilisation or a proven aptitude to learn in this area.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, prioritization, organisation and co-ordination, analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to manage conflict.
