As our Senior Manager you’ll be providing international transaction tax services including tax structuring, tax due diligence and tax modelling to a broad range of high-profile clients. This role is based in Warrang – Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

 

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • 100% dedicated to servicing a large property REIT. This critical and exciting role is a hybrid of private and in-house skills which will include the following:
    • Expected 2 days per week at the client site (remainder of days at either EY or home);
    • Building impactful relationships within the client’s business (e.g. finance, legal, transaction teams);
    • Act as key “anchor” of EY’s delivery of services to the client;
    • Project managing income tax compliance and overall tax transaction timelines and delivables;
    • Responsible for corporate tax provision and tax returns (with delivery supported by a broader team);
    • Provide assistance in driving process changes in service deliverables by utilising latest technlogiy solutions;
    • Provide assistance in post transaction implementation and beyond
    • Provide day to day advisory support for the client;
    • If desired, provide transaction support e.g. buy-side / sell side assistance

 

 

Skills and attributes for success 

  • Australian tax experience ideally gained in a top tier accounting firm, corporate, business consulting or legal environment
  • Ability to develop strong and broad relationships with clients and provide a high level of client service
  • Ability to manage a team and delegate work to junior team members
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to drive process changes and excited by the opportunities of technology
  • Corporate tax compliance experience
  • Ability to communicate with various business teams to find relevant facts / answers to manage tax risk and opportunities.

 

Ideally, you’ll have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn. 

 

  • Experience in or an interest in dealing with real estate tax matters
  • In-house experience and working with a multitude of teams
  • Tax effect accounting experience
