The opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager to join our Financial Services Risk Management practice in Sydney on a full-time basis. As part of our specialised Operational Risk and Transformation team, you will lead the day-to-day delivery of data risk, AI risk and records risk engagements for top-tier financial services clients.
You will manage complex work programs, build trusted client relationships, develop high-performing teams and contribute to proposals and market initiatives. Our clients include banks, capital markets participants, asset managers, insurers and superannuation organisations.
Your key responsibilities
You will manage complex engagements and support the delivery of strategic risk and data transformation initiatives, with responsibility for delivery quality, team performance and client outcomes. Your responsibilities will include:
- Manage end-to-end delivery of advisory, assurance and transformation engagements for data risk management, AI risk management and records management.
- Translate regulatory expectations and leading practices into practical governance, operating model, risk and control solutions.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary business and technology teams to deliver solutions spanning data lifecycle management, regulatory reporting and risk and control assurance.
- Manage engagement plans, budgets, risks, quality and reporting across multiple workstreams.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across risk, data, technology and business functions.
- Coach and develop team members, providing clear direction, feedback and quality oversight.
- Contribute to proposals, account planning and thought leadership across emerging areas such as AI risk and records risk.
Skills and attributes for success
You will bring strong consulting and delivery capability, sound technical expertise and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders in complex financial services environments.
- Significant experience advising financial services clients on risk governance, data management, AI risk or records management.
- Proven ability to manage complex engagements, workstreams, budgets and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, executive reporting and communication skills.
- Current knowledge of relevant Australian and international regulatory expectations, including those of APRA and ASIC.
- Demonstrated people leadership, coaching and quality management capability.
- Experience contributing to proposals, business development and practical thought leadership.
