What if your career could have a lasting impact on you, and the World?

Our purpose, to build a better working world, has never been more important. Life at EY has been transformed dramatically but our strong culture of flexible and sometimes remote working has helped EY people navigate new ways of working and remain connected with each other and our clients.

A better working world truly starts with the people at EY who are building it every day. Now more than ever we need talented people from diverse backgrounds to help our clients navigate the complexities of this transformative age: people with the passion, curiosity and drive to make things better.

At EY we believe that whoever you are, your uniqueness helps us stand apart.

We bring together extraordinary people, like you, to build a better working world

What’s in it for you?

Join our elite Valuation Modelling and Economics (VME) division within the Strategy and Transactions (SaT) sector. As a pivotal leader in a global network of over 10,000 experts across 100 nations, you will provide high-level counsel to clients on capital preservation, optimization, acquisition, and investment strategies. Our SaT service line encompasses specialized groups such as Mergers and Acquisitions, Project Finance, Corporate Restructuring, Operational Transaction Services, Transaction Support, Transaction Tax, and Valuation, Modelling and Economics.

As our Senior Manager, you’ll guide clients through complex valuation challenges in diverse scenarios, including transactions, portfolio evaluations, restructurings, and strategic development, often aiding in commercial, financial reporting, tax, regulatory, or strategic issues.

  • Lead small, focused project teams in conducting comprehensive valuations of businesses and intangible assets for management planning, M&A, tax, financial reporting, and dispute resolution.

  • Assume full responsibility for project delivery, acting as the principal manager for the creation of valuation reports, and executing intricate financial modelling and analysis.

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead and manage multiple valuation engagements, ensuring high-quality delivery within project timelines and budgets.
  • Develop and review complex financial models for discounted cash flow, market multiple, market transaction, and option pricing analyses.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for clients, managing expectations, delivering high-quality service, and providing insightful solutions to complex valuation issues.
  • Conduct industry and market research to support valuation assumptions and conclusions. Stay abreast of industry trends that may impact client valuations.
  • Provide technical guidance on valuation methodologies and assumptions. Review and ensure the quality of work produced by the valuation team.
  • Contribute to thought leadership and knowledge sharing within the firm. Develop and deliver training to enhance the skills of the valuation team.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities. Participate in client proposals and presentations to expand the valuation practice.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members through delegation and providing on-the-job training. Foster an inclusive and innovative team environment.

What we’re looking for

Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.

  • Exceptional leadership, business development, communication and team collaboration skills are essential.
  • A bachelor's degree with roughly 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
  • An academic background in finance, economics, accounting, or business, with a proven track record in both quantitative and qualitative analysis.
  • Hands-on experience with a variety of valuation methodologies (e.g., market comparables, discounted cash flow) for assorted applications.
  • Proficiency in financial modelling using MS Excel and similar platforms is highly preferred.
  • Prior experience in leading and performing valuations for accounting or tax engagements.
