The Opportunity
As our Senior Data Engineer, you’ll design, build and operate modern data platforms using GCP, dbt and Airflow – augmented with the power of AIassisted engineering and generative AI. You’ll work on scalable architectures, pipelines and governance frameworks, applying AIenhanced workflows to accelerate delivery, improve quality and streamline engineering processes.
This role blends contemporary AIsupported engineering practices with strong data engineering fundamentals to deliver enterpriseready cloud data solutions.
Your key responsibilities
We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer who brings both deep technical capability and a forwardthinking mindset. You’ll combine strong engineering fundamentals with a practical understanding of how AIenhanced tooling can transform the way modern data platforms are built and operated. You should feel confident navigating complex cloud environments, shaping robust data solutions and contributing to a culture of technical excellence.
Skills and attributes for success
- Strong knowledge of data modelling concepts, modern data architecturepatternsand data lifecycle management
- Handson experience with GCPBigQuery,dbtand Airflow
- Proficiencyin SQL,Pythonand orchestration frameworks
- Demonstrated ability toleverageAI assistants for engineering tasks such as code generation, data modelling, testing,documentationand pipeline optimisation
- Familiarity with data governance, dataqualityand security best practices
- Experience developing scalable,productiongradedata solutions

- Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with both technical and nontechnical stakeholders
- An aptitude for innovation and adopting new AIenhanced engineering techniques

- Australian Citizenship/Permanent Resident of Australia
