Senior Consultant - Risk Transformation - Third Party Risk Management
The opportunity
Join our Risk Transformation team and help organisations across Australia and Oceania strengthen their performance and build trust through innovative third-party risk management (TPRM) solutions. As a Senior Consultant specialising in TPRM, you’ll work with leading public and private sector clients, supporting them to identify, assess, and manage third-party risks throughout the lifecycle. You’ll be part of a collaborative, credentialed team delivering practical solutions and helping clients build resilience.
This is a hybrid position based in Warrang – Sydney.Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Contribute to the delivery of TPRM and risk transformation engagements, supporting the design, implementation, and improvement of third-party risk management programs.
- Assist with current state assessments, develop risk strategies, and support the build and operation of TPRM frameworks, tools, and processes.
- Work with clients to identify, assess, and manage third-party risks, including cyber, privacy, regulatory, financial, operational, and reputational risks.
- Support the preparation and review of client deliverables, ensuring high-quality outcomes and compliance with relevant standards and frameworks.
- Collaborate with engagement teams and maintain productive client relationships, contributing to a positive team culture and knowledge sharing.
Skills and attributes for success
- Experience in risk management, governance, compliance, or audit roles within professional services, blue-chip, or government organisations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of third-party risk management concepts, risk and control frameworks (e.g. COSO, ISO, NIST), and regulatory requirements relevant to TPRM (e.g. SoCI, Privacy Act, Modern Slavery, CPS 230).
- Familiarity with TPRM and/or GRC tools and technologies (e.g. Archer, ServiceNow, SAP, ProcessUnity).
- Experience supporting or conducting third-party risk assessments, including planning, execution, and reporting.
- Understanding of the diverse risk landscape associated with third parties, such as cyber, privacy, business continuity, regulatory, and operational risks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities and the ability to work effectively in teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Risk and/or project, program or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.
- Experience in supervising a team, projects or processes to completion.
- Proven solid analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent writing and communication skills.
- Australian citizenship and baseline security clearance (or willingness to obtain) is a bonus.
