Job description

Requisition ID:  1485522

At EY, you’ll have the chance to build a career as unique as you are, with the global scale, support, inclusive culture and technology to become the best version of you. And we’re counting on your unique voice and perspective to help EY become even better, too. Join us and build an exceptional experience for yourself, and a better working world for all.

If we inspire you to do the work you love, will you still call it work?

At EY we believe that whoever you are, your uniqueness helps us stand apart.

We bring together extraordinary people, like you, to build a better working world.

What’s in it for you?

We are looking for a talented Senior Consultant to join our Mergers & Acquisitions team in our dynamic Sydney office. You’ll be involved in all stages of the transaction process, including deal preparation, preparing marketing materials, bidder research, conducting pricing analyses, due diligence preparation and coordination, to completion. More importantly, there is continuous opportunity to develop your own unique career with EY.

You will also:

  • Contribute to strong client relationships through interactions with our clients

  • Prepare industry research / market mapping to assist in identifying potential acquisition targets for both private equity investors and corporate strategic buyers

  • Contribute to new lead generation including businesses that should be targeted by the firm as potential clients

  • Play an instrumental role in the orchestration of engagement planning and ensure that deliverables align with the projected timetable

What we’re looking for

Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • A curiosity to learn and contribute to a highly motivated team

  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills

  • The ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • An excellent working knowledge of Excel to develop financial models

  • Ability to use research databases effectively

What we can offer you
