Senior Consultant – Internal Audit – Risk Consulting

 

The opportunity

 

As our Senior Consultant in our Risk Consulting, Process & Controls Practice you will consistently deliver quality client services by monitoring progress. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Maintain long-term client relationships and networks. Cultivate business development opportunities.

 

This is a hybrid position based in Warrang – Sydney.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Support clients in aligning internal audit strategies with broader business objectives through assessments, transformation initiatives, and co-sourced or outsourced internal audit services.
  • Identify, assess, and analyse operational and enterprise risks, providing practical recommendations to strengthen risk management frameworks.
  • Evaluate the impact of emerging legislation and regulatory requirements, helping organisations manage compliance, financial, and operational risks.
  • Perform internal control and SOX testing, assess control frameworks, and support the development and execution of risk-based internal audit plans.
  • Deliver internal audits across compliance, financial, operational, and strategic risk areas, helping clients strengthen controls and address current and emerging risks.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree qualification in finance, business, accounting or related discipline.
  • Experience in Internal Audit.
  • Professional accreditations and qualifications will also be considered favourably (CPA, CISA, CA, CIA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, CIPP certification within one year of hire)

 

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

 

  • Professional Services experience or working with a large multi-facet organisation.
