Global Mobility Senior Consultant – Global Employee Data Solutions, People Advisory Services

 

The opportunity

 

We are looking for a Senior Consultant to join our APAC Global Employee Data Solutions team, part of our Global Mobility practice.

 

EY’s Global Mobility team support strategically driven organisations who send employees on assignment globally. We support clients with all aspects of the assignment life cycle. Our services include immigration, tax compliance & advisory, assignment administration and advisory services.

 

EY’s Global Compensation Services team provides an end to end compensation data accumulation and reporting service to large global organisations. Our service streamlines compensation management to support tax compliance, while also providing clients with detailed cost analytics to assist in understanding and managing the cost of mobility and supporting strategic decision making.

 

This is a hybrid position based in Warrang – Sydney or Naarm – Melbourne. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Lead end-to-end compensation data processes: Manage monthly data collection, processing, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across global client engagements.
  • Collaborate across borders: Coordinate with client contacts and EY offices worldwide to deliver integrated reporting for tax, payroll, compensation, and social security compliance. Work closely with our offshore support team in India to delegate and review workflow
  • Leverage data analytics and automation: Analyse multi-source compensation data, build dashboards, and implement automation tools to streamline high-volume data workflows.
  • Drive client engagement and project delivery: Participate in strategic client meetings, manage daily communications, and contribute to onboarding and implementation for new clients.
  • Support regional growth and team development: Help expand services across APAC, mentor junior team members, and collaborate with the regional EY network to build capability.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • 2–3 years’ experience in global mobility, employment tax, or related fields — ideally within professional services, relocation providers, or internal HR/tax/finance teams.
  • Strong analytical and data handling skills — including experience with Excel (e.g., formulas, pivot tables) and interpreting data from multiple sources.
  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management — essential for managing global stakeholders and meeting tight deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy — critical for handling sensitive compensation and compliance data.
  • Process improvement mindset — with a willingness to innovate and use automation tools to enhance efficiency.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

 

  • Project management or coordination experience — especially in multi-stakeholder or cross-border environments.
  • Experience working across a global network — familiarity with international collaboration and cultural nuances.
  • Exposure to automation technologies — such as Alteryx, Power Automate, or similar tools.
