Senior Consultant – Global Compliance & Reporting – Global Tax Centre of Excellence

The Global Tax CoE exists to enable the execution of EY’s “All In” strategy and accelerate the Tax “Paradigm Shift”. It is where we incubate emerging solutions, operate our most complex deals and innovate through our market-leading luminaries.

As our Senior Consultant – Global Compliance & Reporting (GCR) Global Operations, you’ll support the delivery of global and regional tax compliance and advisory engagements while helping EY teams deliver exceptional client service. You will work with clients, onshore and offshore team, and the Global Operations Partner-Manager group to support business growth and communicate EY’s service offerings, capabilities and credentials to internal stakeholders, clients and targets.   For more information on GCR, visit our website Global compliance and reporting support | EY - Global.

 

This is a hybrid position based in Warrang – Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

In this role, you'll support the delivery of high-quality tax compliance and advisory services while building strong relationships across global teams and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

 

  • Support the delivery of global and regional tax compliance and tax advisory engagements.
  • Collaborate with clients and engagement teams to provide exceptional client service and timely project delivery.
  • Work with tax professionals across onshore and offshore teams to deliver integrated and commercially focused solutions.
  • Identify, investigate and resolve issues, escalating matters appropriately to managers and partners where required.
  • Support engagement management activities including budgeting, engagement code management, global pursuits and delivery transformation initiatives.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Approximately 2–3 years of relevant business tax experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of tax compliance processes and the ability to manage multiple projects and engagements concurrently.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and deliver practical solutions.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with onshore and offshore teams, including collaboration across multiple time zones.
  • A genuine interest in tax technology, AI-enabled ways of working and continuous improvement, with a willingness to learn and adapt in a rapidly evolving environment.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

 

  • CPA or another relevant professional qualification, completed or in progress.
