Senior Consultant - Finance Strategy and Transformation - Financial Services - Business Consulting
The opportunity
As our Senior Consultant in Finance Strategy and Transformation, you'll play a key role in driving financial innovation and strategic change for our clients. You'll use your expertise to develop compelling business cases, contribute to the design of finance strategies, and be part of transformative projects that have a real impact on our clients' growth and efficiency.
This role is based in Warrang – Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead the development and interrogation of financial models including for budgeting, planning, and forecasting.
- Engage directly with clients in the gathering of functional and technical requirements and support in the implementation of financial software solutions, ensuring alignment with requirements.
- Configuration of ERP, EPM and other finance cloud software tools.
- Assist in the development of policies, governance frameworks and interrogation of processes, risks and controls and recommend improvements.
- Support in the delivery of complex project, including development of status reports, client presentations, project trackers and communicating progress and outcomes to client leadership.
- Interrogation and design of finance processes and reporting including identification of areas for enhancement and/or automation.
- Contribute to the design and execution of finance transformation initiatives, leveraging industry best practices to deliver measurable results for clients.
Skills and attributes for success
- Relevant experience in consulting and/or audit & assurance in professional services or in industry.
- Experience in the financial services sector is preferred, such as banking, insurance, or asset management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver insightful financial models and strategies.
- Familiarity with ERP and/or EPM financial systems, and relevant processes, with experience in tools like Anaplan, Aptitude, or similar technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders and managing senior relationships effectively.
- A relevant academic degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field, with additional financial qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACMA, ACCA) considered advantageous.
- A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to emerging technologies and trends in the finance sector.
