This is a hybrid position based in any of the following locations; Meanjin – Brisbane, Naarm – Melbourne, Warrang – Sydney, Tarndanya – Adelaide and Boorloo – Perth.
Your key responsibilities
- Collaborate with the leadership team to coordinate and manage the provision of taxation services for an allocated book of corporate clients, overseeing day-to-day operations, corporate income tax compliance, and the preparation and review of income tax returns and tax accounting calculations.
- Deliver a full spectrum of corporate taxation advisory services tailored to client needs, while supporting senior team members in complex tax engagements, including ATO risk reviews, audits, and ruling application processes, with the backing of Australia’s top tax technicians.
- Be a key point of contact for our clients, requiring you to collaborate with our specialist teams in bringing expertise to our corporate clients including in the areas of international tax and transfer pricing, tax controversy and transactions
- Supervise and mentor the team, including senior consultants, consultants, and graduates, by acting as a 'Counsellor' for junior members, fostering their career development, and contributing to a positive team culture that promotes high performance, collaboration, and celebrates successes.
Skills and attributes for success
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Strong experience in the Australian taxation system, gained in professional services or a comparable industry role, including corporate income tax compliance calculations, processes and ATO lodgement obligations.
- Strong communication skills and confidence leading client engagements on substantive tax matters, while coordinating multiple priorities with clarity and professionalism.
- A transformation mindset, continually looking to improve our processes and our clients’ experiences.
- A CA qualification or equivalent, or other postgraduate study such as a Tax Masters. Technical knowledge of IFRS and tax accounting would be advantageous, but is not essential.
- Experience in real estate, infrastructure or trusts would be advantageous, but is not essential.
