SMSF Senior Consultant

 

The opportunity

As a SMSF Senior Consultant you will provide expert advice on compliance and tax implications for Self-Managed Superannuation Funds, while managing client relationships and ensuring adherence to regulations. 

This is a hybrid position Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

 

Your key responsibilities 

  • Provide expert advisory services on SMSF compliance and tax implications.
  • Assist clients with the preparation and lodgment of tax returns and financial statements for SMSFs.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Mentor and train junior staff on SMSF management and tax compliance best practices.

 

What we look for

  • You have worked on self-managed superannuation funds
  • You would be excited to be part of our National SMSF team
  • You have experience in providing financial reporting and tax compliance services to clients
  • Your work portfolio will predominantly be made up of SMSF compliance and advisory work (approximately 60%-70%), with the balance being Private Family tax work
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a chartered environment

 

 

 

 

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.  

  • Work across multiple projects and clients, including high-net worth individuals and large family group, entrepreneurial start-ups, and established private
  • You will provide tax advice to SMSFs, high net wealth families, trusts, and other privately owned entities
  • Contribute to strategic planning for, and the implementation of, superannuation strategies and advice, along with family governance frameworks and structures.
