The opportunity
This role is based in Warrang – Sydney, but we can also be flexible for other locations in Australia.
The SAP Solution Architect will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of SAP solutions that enhance business processes and drive operational efficiency within the retail sector. This role requires a deep understanding of retail operations, SAP modules, and integration capabilities.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Solution Design: Develop comprehensive SAP solutions that align with business objectives and retail industry best practices.
- Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyse business requirements, translating them into functional specifications for SAP solutions.
- Implementation Oversight: Lead the implementation of SAP solutions, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Provide guidance to project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
- Integration Management: Design and manage integrations between SAP and other systems (e.g., POS, e-commerce platforms, supply chain systems) to ensure seamless data flow and operational efficiency.
- Customisation and Configuration: Oversee the customisation and configuration of SAP modules relevant to retail, such as SAP S/4HANA Retail Merchandise Management, SAP Customer Activity Repository, SAP EWM, SAP TM, SAP Ariba
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and SAP advancements, recommending enhancements and optimisations to existing solutions to drive continuous improvement.
What we look for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or relevant certifications.
- Proven experience as an SAP Solution Architect, with a focus on retail solutions.
- Strong knowledge of SAP modules relevant to retail
- Experience with system integration and data migration strategies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- SAP certification in relevant modules.
- Experience with agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Knowledge of emerging technologies in retail, such as AI, machine learning, and IoT.
This role is pivotal in ensuring that retail organisations leverage SAP solutions to enhance customer experiences, optimise supply chains, and drive business growth.
