The opportunity

This role acts as a senior advisor on Global Mobility, partnering with senior key stakeholders across the Super Regions to assess their talent/mobility requirements, agree and establish plans and provide guidance on the  application of mobility policies, processes and programs, creating tailored  solutions to support workforce planning, talent development and the  achievement of their strategic business and talent objectives.   

 

Provides strategic leadership by developing and implementing a regional mobility strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives and enhances service delivery within the super region. 

 

Oversee and manage all assignment services activity in a Super Region, overseeing a dedicated Super Region Mobility team including regional Mobility  Virtual Talent Hub (VTH) resources.  

 

This position will also build and continue to enhance the internal mobility brand and maintain strong internal relationships across Service Lines and functions  within the Super Region. 

 

Purpose of the Job 

  • Business partnering and stakeholder management 
    • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the Super Region, acting as a strategic business partner and trusted advisor.   
    • Demonstrate executive presence; navigate complex stakeholder interaction and influence outcomes to resolution, presenting credible options grounded in  business and talent objectives. 
    • Collaborate with Super Region Talent and Business Leaders to develop a regional mobility strategy and align Mobility initiatives to deliver on these ambitions 
    • Analyze the local economic climate and engage with stakeholders to identify how Mobility can effectively support business objectives. 
    • Partner and collaborate with service line, country, and regional leaders, as wellas relevant Finance and Talent stakeholders to guide and influence the  budgeting approach, supporting their workforce planning, talent development and retention objectives. Allowing the business to strategically manage and  deploy their workforce, adapt to changing market needs and invest in their  people. 
    • Collaborate with business leaders to design and implement strategic solutions that address complex assignment needs, ensuring compliance with relevant 
      regulations.
    • Influence decision making by presenting data-driven insights to stakeholders, fostering innovative ideas and solutions that enhance Mobility in the region.
    • Share industry best practices and insights gained from external networks to inform strategic decision-making.
    • Connect and collaborate with EY functions and resources proactively (Talent, Finance, Tax, Technology, Vendor Partners) to address complex needs and  improve service quality and delivery.
  • Mobility Assignment Services Performance
    • Oversee and lead the assignment services team within the Super Region for which you are responsible. Ensure performance management processes ie.  LEAD for the team are being followed/executed.
    • Represent your Region in Global Mobility calls and initiatives and actively  contribute to discussions, applying your extensive knowledge of local operations and processes to identify opportunities for improvement as well as  barriers to success
    • In collaboration with your Regional Team Lead, oversee and seek to optimize the end-to-end assignment experience for inbound and outbound assignees,  championing innovation, leveraging technology and best practice
    • Ensure VIP and high complexity Mobility assignments are managed effectively  
    • Build and maintain cross functional relationships and work closely with key stakeholders to influence and secure buy in, ensuring the successful end to end execution and deployment of initiatives
    • Maintain up to date knowledge of employment legislation, immigration, tax, and data privacy compliance requirements, as well as any upcoming changes, and the impact to policy, process and service delivery  
    • Ensure effective communication with the appropriate Mobility leaders and networks on all issues or barriers impacting our function  
    • Responsible for the monitoring of vendor services across the Super Region to ensure key performance indicators are met as detailed in the Service Level Agreements, ensuring any short falls are addressed, limiting impact to service  delivery  
  • Team Leadership and Development 
    • Serve as the senior escalation point for addressing complex issues raised by Super Region stakeholders, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining strong  relationships.
    • Responsible for the coaching and development of team members, identifying  opportunities for further upskilling, fostering a high performance culture.  
    • Provide leadership and motivation to team members to consistently deliver high quality service 
    • Act as counsellor to one or more Super Region team members, including Team Lead, Mobility Managers and Consultants
    • Actively participate in Global Mobility initiatives, contributing local insights to identify opportunities to drive further excellence, collaborate on identifying  solutions to address barriers to success, gain other regional perspectives to  enhance overall global understanding and to apply effective strategies locally
    • Ensure effective communication of leadership vision and strategy to the Super Region team, fostering engagement and soliciting feedback.
    • Ensure collaboration and connectivity of region team with Global Mobility
    • Experience & Delivery and Global Advisory and Programs pillar team members.

 

Supervision Responsibilities 

  • Lead a Super Region assignment services team, including Mobility Consultants and Specialists and Regional Mobility VTH resources. There could also be  additional Non-Exec Layer teams which this role may be responsible for. 
  • Act as counsellor to team members (Team Operations Consultant, Mobility Senior Specialists and Specialists); foster a high-performance culture. 

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements 

  • Advanced knowledge of business partnering/advisory skillset to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, identify their needs, and provide strategic  insights that influence and drive decision-making and enhance the overall 
    performance of mobility services. 
  • Strong business acumen, knowledge of EY’s All in business strategy, priorities and the firm-wide talent agenda 
  • Deep insight into the way EY operates, the organization structure and culture in order to deliver exceptional assignment services and to achieve intended  talent outcomes for business and assignees 
  • Strong understanding of Tax and Immigration legislation, as well as relevant employment law and other business or economic forces 
  • Understanding of competitor and market practices to support development of insightful solutions
  • Require a comprehensive understanding of mobility trends, regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, technology advancements, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, risk management, data analytics, and change  management to effectively guide clients in navigating the evolving mobility  landscape.
  • Significant knowledge of Mobility policy, processes and systems and the ability to define the assignment services operational capabilities required to deliver  standards consistently, globally 
  • In-depth technical/functional knowledge and experience in Talent and International Mobility to ensure adherence to required Talent and Mobility policy frameworks, as well as strong knowledge and understanding of local  employment, tax and immigration legislation and regulations to ensure  compliance.
  • Strong understanding of compliance requirements to manage, identify and resolve associated risks across regional jurisdictions  
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively across all organizational levels, with the ability to tailor messaging to audiences, and  skilled in collaborating across borders demonstrating a strong cultural mindset
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development through training, certifications, and industry conferences to stay current with best practices and advancements in global Mobility.
  • Maintain market/industry awareness by attending or representing Mobility in external networks/forums as appropriate.

  • Drive adoption of internal and external AI tools, as well as the ability to use 
  • Global Technology tool and other relevant HR systems and knowledge tools 
  • Ability to analyze data related to Mobility trends, employee satisfaction, and program effectiveness to inform decision-making. 
  • Ability to track record of vendor management and performance oversight against SLAs/KPIs. 
  • Due to global nature of the role; willingness to work flexibly and with alternative hours will be required 
  • Ability to work independently and with limited supervision in a global team 

 

Education 

Educated to degree level in a related discipline

 

Experience 

Significant experience business partnering, leading regional/global mobilityassignment services and multi-disciplinary teams. 

 

Certification Requirements 

  • Higher professional or masters qualification in a related discipline is preferred,not required 
  • Active membership to related professional bodies or industry groups is preferred, not required.
