Paralegal – General Counsel Office

  

The opportunity 

 

As our paralegal supporting the Litigation Practice Group of the General Counsel’s Office, you’ll assist the team with a range of matters and tasks.  

 

This role is based in Warrang – Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly. Please speak with us about potential options. 

 

Your key responsibilities 

 

  • Assist legal counsels with a range of matters including response to requests for documents, document review and bundle collation, brief preparation, liaising with external counsel, preparing draft correspondence, liaising with internal stakeholders, mediation and trial preparation, attending witness interviews and performing legal research.
  • Support the General Counsel in the preparation of legal spend analysis, matter reporting, coordinating the GCO Legal Community Site and other special projects as required from time to time
  • Management of GCO’s document preservation processes, and otherwise supporting the GCO team to ensure that the team’s internal processes run smoothly. 

 

Skills and attributes for success 

 

  • Ideally, a law degree or be studying towards a law degree.
  • Experience in a paralegal role will be highly regarded. 
  • Highly developed communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously, and to escalate when required.
