We are looking for a paralegal to join the Litigation Practice Group of the General Counsel’s Office to assist the team with a range of matters and tasks.  

 

Some of your key responsibilities 

  • Assist legal counsels with a range of matters including response to requests for documents, document review and bundle collation, brief preparation, liaising with external counsel, preparing draft correspondence, liaising with internal stakeholders, mediation and trial preparation, attending witness interviews and performing legal research.
  • Support the General Counsel in the preparation of legal spend analysis, matter reporting, coordinating the GCO Legal Community Site updates and regular refresh and other special projects as required from time to time
  • Management of GCO’s document preservation processes, management of the EY deed safe and otherwise supporting the GCO team to ensure that the team’s internal processes run smoothly. 

 

What we’re looking for 

  • Ideally, a law degree or be studying towards a law degree.
  • Experience in a paralegal role will be highly regarded. 
  • Highly developed communication skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously, and to escalate when required.
  • The ability to be a creative thinker and pragmatic problem solver.
  • A passion and drive to make a valuable contribution to the team.
  • A flexible, proactive approach, and an optimistic outlook.
