The opportunity

The position will work with business leaders and assignees (at all levels) to plan, coordinate, and manage end-to-end international mobility assignments into and out of the region. You will guide and provide relevant advice to your business stakeholders and assignees to ensure consistent exceptional assignee experiences.

 

The position also includes additional responsibilities to support the AS Regional Lead in the management of the regional team as well as the regional function.

 

Your key responsibilities

 
Position includes all responsibilities included in the Mobility Consultant description, and in addition also takes responsibility for the following: 

  • Act as an additional point of escalation for the Mobility Consultants as well as business stakeholders, and assist with resolving issues raised 
  • Act as a strategic business partner by understanding the Talent strategy, business and industry issues and how these apply to your stakeholders 
  • Support Regional Lead in overseeing Mobility operations, including ensuring data integrity in the Global MobilityTool (GMT), the consistent application of global processes, as well as monitoring the caseload of team members and assisting with reallocation where necessary 
  • Assist Regional Lead with the globally consistent implementation of new policies, processes, programs, and initiatives within the region, through the facilitation of stakeholder discussions, completion of impact analysis and change management execution 
  • Act as counsellor to one or more Mobility Consultants in the Region 
  • In the absence of the Regional Lead, actively represent Region in Global and Area Mobility calls and workgroups 
  • Establish a strong understanding of local operations and processes effecting Mobility eg invoicing / billing procedures, engagement codes, global HR systems such as Success Factors, as well as payroll etc 
  • Apply knowledge of local operational processes to enable successful representation of your Region in global and regional enhancement/deployment discussions to identifying opportunities for improvement and barriers for success 
  • Monitor and understand changes to employment legislation, immigration, tax, data privacy and the impact to process and service delivery 
  • Monitor and review Immigration and Tax Services processes to ensure key performance indicators are met in your Region/Country as detailed in the Service Level Agreement 
  • Represent regional team in cross pillar workgroups and initiatives, as well as projects external to Mobility that impact our processes such as the implementation and review of the global Finance and HR systems 

 

Supervision Responsibilities

  • Assist the Regional Lead to oversee the delivery of Mobility Assignment Services in the Region/Country, ensuring the team of Mobility Consultants are delivering to performance standards, and adhering to Global Mobility policy frameworks and processes, escalating issues where required 
  • Review VTH output as per agreed scope of service, and revise and allocate additional processes and tasks as necessary, as agreed with Regional Lead 
  • Assist in the development of others by providing feedback and recognizing accomplishments 
  • Act as counsellor to one or more Mobility Consultants in the Region 
  • Actively take responsibility for the ongoing training and development of team members
  • Monitor vendor services and provide feedback to continually improve operations

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements

  • Demonstrate leadership skills to effectively support the Regional Lead in the management of the team 
  • Significant knowledge and experience of international mobility, policies, processes and systems 
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles – recruitment and selection, career management, performance reviews, termination, remuneration, induction/ on-boarding, employee relations etc. 
  • Strong understanding of Tax, Immigration and social security legislation, as well as relevant employment law and other business or economic forces 
  • Strong understanding of payroll requirements in order to draft accurate instructions for the amendment of compensation packages and payments relating to the assignment terms 
  • Demonstrate the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders to gain trust and confidence as an advisor 
  • Demonstrate a strong customer service mindset. 
  • A desire to deliver exceptional service to internal business stakeholders and assignees 
  • Strong communications skills with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels including colleagues within other regions, Service Line stakeholders, Talent Team, Tax and Immigration teams, as well as external vendors 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize objectives and manage all aspects of your role 
  • Able to work effectively in a fast paced, agile, and demanding environment 
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a virtual teaming and complex stakeholder matrix environment 
  • Ability to use a Global Mobility Technology tool as well as other relevant HR systems and knowledge tools 
  • Strong level of skill in using Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
  • Demonstrate a high level of business acumen 
  • Strong intellectual rigor and commercial awareness 
  • Maintain and use (when appropriate) a network of contacts in other EY practices, SLs or geographies
  • Demonstrate the ability to work well in a team environment 
  • Strong attention to detail 

 

Other Requirements

  • Due to global nature of the role, willingness to work flexible hours will be required 

 

Position Requirements

Education: 

  • Educated to degree level is preferred, but not required 

 

Experience: 

  • 5+ years relevant experience 

 

Certification Requirements: 

  • Professional certifications and/or masters studies in a related discipline is preferred, not required 
  • Active membership to related professional bodies or industry groups is preferred, not required
