The opportunity
As the Asia East and Oceania Mobility Assignment Services Business Partnering Lead, you’ll advise senior stakeholders across the region, delivering tailored mobility solutions to support workforce planning, talent development, and business goals. You’ll drive regional mobility strategy, oversee a dedicated Mobility team, and strengthen EY’s internal mobility brand by building strong relationships across service lines and functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with senior stakeholders across the Region, acting as a strategic advisor, influencing outcomes aligned to business and talent objectives
- Collaborate with Talent and Business Leaders to develop and implement regional mobility strategies and align Mobility initiatives to deliver on these ambitions
- Analyse local economic conditions to identify opportunities for Mobility to support workforce objectives
- Guide budgeting, workforce planning, and talent retention through partnership with service line, country, and regional leaders
- Collaborate with business leaders to design and deliver strategic solutions for complex assignment requirements, ensuring regulatory compliance
- Present data driven insights to influence decisions, fostering innovative ideas and solutions
- Share industry best practices and leverage external networks to inform regional strategies
- Collaborate across EY functions and vendors to address complex needs and improve service delivery
- Oversee VIP and high-complexity Mobility assignments for effective management and delivery
- Lead and manage the Region assignment services team, ensuring performance standards and process excellence
- Coach and develop team members, fostering a high-performance culture and providing leadership and motivation
- Ensure collaboration between regional and global Mobility teams to enhance service delivery and share best practices
- Represent the Region in global Mobility forums, contributing local expertise to identify improvement opportunities
- Champion innovation and optimise the assignment experience for inbound and outbound assignees
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local employment legislation, immigration, tax, and compliance requirements
- Monitor vendor performance against Service Level Agreements, addressing any issues to maintain high service standards
- Act as escalation point for complex stakeholder issues, ensuring timely resolution and relationship management
Due to global nature of the role, willingness to work flexible hours will be required.
Skills and attributes for success
You will have the ability to understand a matrixed organization and communicate effectively to connect our people with each other to drive initiatives forward. You will have knowledge and experience in international mobility at a large multinational firm. You are comfortable handling multi-layered issues and have the ability to navigate complex organizational structures effectively, even in times of ambiguity. You will have strong organizational skills, and be proficient at prioritizing and managing multiple, time-sensitive initiatives simultaneously.
You must have
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with stakeholders, understand business requirements, and provide strategic guidance that supports effective decision-making and enhances mobility services
- Strong commercial awareness and business understanding
- Experience in international mobility, delivering excellent assignment outcomes and supporting talent objectives
- Up-to-date knowledge of competitor and market practices to inform innovative solutions
- Comprehensive understanding of global mobility trends, regulatory frameworks, market dynamics, technology, stakeholder engagement, strategic planning, risk management, data analytics, and change management
- Experience in developing and managing mobility policies, processes, and systems to ensure global consistency
- Technical expertise in talent and international mobility, including compliance with local employment, tax, and immigration regulations, as well as awareness of relevant economic influences
- Strong compliance skills to identify and mitigate risks across regions
- Strong communication abilities, enabling effective engagement at all organisational levels and collaboration across cultures and borders
- Active involvement in external networks and industry forums to remain informed about the latest developments, staying current with best practices in global mobility
- Knowledge of AI tools and HR technology systems

Salary: We offer a competitive salary which is open to negotiation pending on skills and experience.
