Market Research Field Interviewer - Observational Studies - Greater Sydney Region

The opportunity

EY Studio+ is seeking to fill vacancies for an overnight market research fieldworker working in the field collecting data. You will be conducting observational research across various locations, recording your observational results using our mobile tablet device.

Shift length will vary and are available between 3 – 6 hours between 10:30pm – 6am for night shift, 10:00am – 05:00pm for day shift, Monday to Friday.

Your position will have a significant emphasis on safety and security. Your ability to demonstrate understanding and commitment to workplace health and safety is highly regarded. Please include an example of this in your cover letter.

Applicants deemed potentially suitable will be invited to complete an online interview. If successful at the interviewing stage, you will be contacted for paid training and briefing to be held at our Sydney office. Training attendance is mandatory to be considered for the role. Training will be held during the day

 

Your key responsibilities 

  • Available Monday to Friday with minimum availability of 3 nights a week or 3 days a week
  • Applicant screening will start in September and training will be held in late September
  • Open to flexible working hours. Night shifts primarily between 10:30pm – 06:00am and Day shifts primarily between 10:00am – 05:00pm

Skills and attributes for success

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to understand and follow correct procedures with minimal errors
  • Demonstrated fluency in spoken and written English - excellent grammar, punctuation and spelling is required
  • Respectful and professional presentation, always
  • A commitment to personal safety and an understanding of workplace health and safety
  • Comfortable working in an outdoor environment and on the move for the duration of your shift

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.  

  • Eligible to work in Australia
  • Current holder of RIW card is an advantage but not essential
  • Previous shift work experience and time management skills
  • Full Australian Drivers license and proven safe driving record
  • Must have own vehicle and be willing to drive to multiple different locations on the same night
  • Proven understanding of the standards relating to quality data in market research (accuracy, consistency and integrity)
