The opportunity
We are looking for a Manager for our growing EY Private Corporate Tax team in our Sydney office. Our team work with leading and inspiring entrepreneurs, private equity backed companies and founder led businesses.

Your key responsibilities
- Provide advice to clients on the application of Australian tax laws.
- Provide strategic tax planning and structuring advice for inbound and outbound groups.
- Provide post-deal taxation services and ad-hoc tax advice to acquired corporates.
- Provide advice to clients in respect of tax corporate governance policies and processes.
- Review corporate income tax returns.
- Preparation and review of tax effect accounting numbers.
- Act as a key point of contact for your clients.
- Project manage the delivery of tax services to your clients.
- Work with our Partners to execute market development initiatives.

Skills and attributes for success
To qualify for the role you must have
- Experience in Corporate Tax Advisory and Corporate Tax Compliance, ideally gained in a top-tier accounting firm or corporate business consulting environment
- Tax technical knowledge relevant private companies and collective investment vehicles
- Experience in managing junior staff and their development
- Ability to build strong and lasting business relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ideally, you’ll also have
- Strong commercial awareness
- First-class numerical and analytical skills
