Manager – Forensics & Integrity Services - Claims and Disputes 

 

The opportunity

 

As our Manager within the Forensics & Integrity Services (FIS) team you will be working on some of the largest, high-profile disputes, investigations and regulatory matters in one of the most exciting areas of professional services. You will work alongside an experienced leadership group that is focused on driving growth in the market. EY’s FIS professionals help organisations protect and restore enterprise and financial reputation. We assist organisations to investigate facts, resolve disputes and manage regulatory challenges, and we put integrity at the heart of compliance programs to better manage ethical and reputational risks. 


You will be part of a multi-disciplinary Oceania FIS team including accountants, risk managers, technology specialists and former regulatory and law enforcement professionals.

 

This position is based in Warrang – Sydney or Meanjin – Brisbane and will require some interstate travel to support on a major project.  

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Leading a team on engagements such as disputes, fraud and misconduct investigations or regulatory matters. 
  • Conducting a wide range of tasks including financial analysis, document review and reporting. 
  • Working closely with major clients to understand complex forensic accounting issues and ensuring high quality project delivery. 
  • Liaising with key stakeholders, including corporate clients, lawyers, insurers and Partners. 
  • Drafting investigation and expert witness reports, ensuring high quality project delivery. 
  • Contributing to the development of the FIS team as a whole.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

Ideally, you’ll have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn. 

 

  • Previous work experience as a forensic accountant, corporate compliance or risk management professional or external auditor. 
  • Experience working in a professional services environment. 
  • Membership with Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand (CAANZ) (or equivalent) or be undertaking studies to be admitted to CAANZ. 
  • A strong client service focus and ability to develop client relationships. 
  • High analytical focus, a drive for professional scepticism and an appetite for professional development. 
  • Report writing skills and excellent attention to detail. 
  • High proficiency with Excel and financial models.
