Manager – Corporate Tax - Financial Services

As our Corporate Tax Manager, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with our skilled and experienced professionals in Sydney and Brisbane to deliver innovative solutions that help our clients meet their tax obligations while maximizing their business outcomes. Our team is dedicated to staying ahead of the curve when it comes to regulatory and legislative changes, so we can provide our clients with timely and effective advice that meets their unique needs. This role is based in Warrang - Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options. 

 

Your key responsibilities 

  • Providing Australian income tax advisory and income tax compliance services to clients across the following sectors:  

    • Banking and capital markets;  
    • Wealth and asset management including superannuation funds; and  

    • Insurance  
  • Advise a portfolio of market-leading financial services clients on complex tax matters, managing income tax compliance, provisions, and providing tax advice while developing strong relationships to become a trusted advisor.
  • Oversee and develop a team to ensure quality delivery of tax services, collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify growth opportunities, and play a key role in implementing the growth strategy.

 

What we look for      

To be considered for this role you must have 

  • 8+ years of Australian corporate income tax or fund tax experience, ideally from a top-tier or mid-tier accounting firm or corporate business in sectors like superannuation, insurance, banking, and wealth management, along with completed CA qualifications or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated strong influencing skills to manage multiple complex engagements effectively, articulate technical information into clear recommendations, and possess excellent client-facing skills to lead meetings and grow accounts.
  • Exhibited leadership and mentoring abilities to guide staff while being a strong team player.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.  

  • Works well in a team and has a high attention to detail  

  • Proven record training and delegating to junior staff
