EY’s Global Compliance and Reporting practice is a collaborative team of tax and finance professionals advising the best clients in the Australian market. As a result of continued growth in our business, we are currently looking to add to our team with talented accounting specialists who have experience in operational finance, tax compliance and management reporting.
As a Consultant, you will support our clients with their accounting and reporting obligations, manage the timely delivery of services and work with a team of likeminded enthusiastic professionals operate an effective finance function for clients. You will have the opportunity to strengthen your practical accounting experience, enhance your project management skills as well as build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
We are flexible with the work location for this role and therefore, this role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne.
Your key responsibilities

As a financial operations specialist, you will support our clients with their outsourced accounting and reporting obligations

Work with our transaction processing team to ensure timely delivery of client services

Assist with financial planning and analysis procedures and the preparation of management reports

Drive the budgeting, forecasting and analysis process for your portfolio of clients

Identify areas of improvement for our clients and assist with the design and implementation of solution

Work with national and multinational clients, to deliver quality services and support the management team to grow the business through key strategic initiatives including operational excellence, market expansion, talent development, client leadership and business transformation

Perform data analytics and bring insight to client financial information
What we’re looking for

2 years’ experience in an operational finance role, with experience in month-end procedures and management reporting, or 2 years’ experience in public accounting

Completed or in the process of completing CA or CPA qualifications

Ability to work effectively either as an individual or member of a team and relate effectively with staff on all levels

Strong commercial acumen and a solid understanding of financial processes

Proactive and able to identify and resolve problems, with attention to detail

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Thrive in a fast moving, high pressure environment
