Expressions of Interest – Senior Associate Audit Professionals on Working Holiday Visa

The opportunity

If you are looking for a new adventure in 2026, we have fantastic opportunities on offer for Working Holiday Visa holders with Audit experience. Make the most of your time in Australia by gaining valuable hands-on experience in the Assurance profession, while immersing yourself in Australia’s unique lifestyle and culture.

As part of EY Audit, you will be given the leading-edge tools and technology you need to develop your skills and contribute to impactful work supporting our clients across diverse industry sectors. EY Audit professionals partner with our clients to navigate risks and complexities, creating long-term value, trust, and confidence within their organisations.

As a Senior Associate in Audit, you will work alongside the data transformation team to create new custom audit solutions which are at the forefront of innovation, leaving time to genuinely engage, consult and connect with our clients and teams.

This role can be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

If this is the year for broadening your horizons in a new country, let’s work together to make it happen!

Your key responsibilities

  • Planning and coordinating audits with appropriate consideration of audit risk issues, ensuring audits are executed in compliance with policies and protocols.
  • Executing audit processes with an understanding of an entity’s operating environment.

Eligibility, skills and attributes for success

  • Hold a valid Working Holiday Visa for Australia (with a minimum of 6 months remaining) and be available for a 6 month contract in early 2026. There is the potential for sponsorship for a longer-term work visa (subject to eligibility and approvals).
  • A degree and/or progress towards/completion of a recognised accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience delivering external audit and assurance engagements.
  • Experience leading the planning, execution and reporting on audits.

Ideally, you’ll have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Experience in accounting frameworks (IFRS) and in related financial reporting matters.
  • The ability to build relationships with clients, delivering key business and market insights.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills and a collaborative approach to teaming.

You will be added to a talent pool and considered for suitable opportunities at our EY offices across Australia.
