The opportunity

EY Business Consulting helps organisations solve complex problems, improve performance and deliver sustained change. Through this campaign, we are recruiting Consultants, Senior Consultants and Managers for teams across Australia, in Supply Chain & Operations, Business Transformation, Finance Consulting and Studio+.

You will work with leading public and private sector organisations on initiatives such as supply chain and finance transformation, operating model and process design, service improvement, digital change, customer and employee experience, and organisational change. You will use technology, data and AI-enabled solutions to deliver practical client outcomes.

We are looking for curious, adaptable professionals who can apply AI responsibly and work well in collaborative teams. Roles are available from EY offices across Australia, with regular client-site travel where required. Flexible and reduced-hours arrangements may be available.

Your key responsibilities

• Consultants contribute to the analysis, design and delivery of transformation, operational improvement and business consulting engagements, supporting activities such as process mapping, assessments, operating model design, business case development and the delivery of practical client outcomes.
• Senior Consultants lead workstreams, engage stakeholders and help clients translate complex challenges into actionable strategies, roadmaps and business solutions. This may include supporting finance transformation initiatives, process optimisation, operating model design, digital and AI-enabled solutions, and leveraging data-driven insights to improve business performance.
• Managers oversee complex engagements, mentor teams, manage client relationships and provide trusted advice across large-scale transformation and business improvement initiatives. They contribute to business development activities, present recommendations and insights to senior stakeholders, and help drive innovation through technology, automation and AI-enabled solutions.

Skills and attributes for success

• Consultants bring curiosity, adaptability and strong analytical skills, with experience contributing to projects, business improvement initiatives or transformation outcomes. They are collaborative team players who enjoy solving complex problems and developing practical solutions for clients.
• Senior Consultants demonstrate experience delivering consulting, transformation, operational improvement or finance-related engagements, with strong stakeholder management, facilitation, communication and problem-solving capabilities. They can translate complex challenges into clear recommendations and actionable outcomes.
• Managers bring proven leadership experience, the ability to lead complex engagements, manage client relationships and develop high-performing teams. They are trusted advisors who can balance strategic thinking with practical delivery to achieve client outcomes.

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.

• Experience in business consulting, transformation or operational improvement, including finance, supply chain, customer experience, operating models, process improvement, strategy or organisational change.

• Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to analyse data and turn findings into clear recommendations and business outcomes.

• Exposure to enterprise systems, digital transformation and technology, data or AI-enabled solutions. Experience with SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, BlackLine, Tagetik, Power BI or similar tools is highly regarded.

• Organised, adaptable and proactive, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently or as part of a team.

• A commitment to learning and solving complex client challenges.

• Australian citizenship may be advantageous for work with Australian Federal Government clients.
