What we’re looking for: 

 

We are seeking a creative and innovative Collaboration Designer to join our team, based in either Sydney or Auckland

 

As part of our workshop delivery team, you will work closely with experienced team members to facilitate the co-design process with our clients, helping to architect sessions that leave a lasting impact. Your responsibilities will include supporting the design and facilitation of sessions and bringing your A-game to the project management of multiple projects. 

 

At your core you believe in the power of collaboration and design to help people to solve problems and understand the power of pace and detail when building trust with clients. 

 

Collaboration Designers at wavespace: 

 

  • Collaborate with team members to facilitate co-design processes with clients.
  • Project manage the sponsor design process, including scheduling sessions, coordinating resources, and documenting inputs.
  • Assist in shaping the session through client conversations.
  • Support the development of workshop agendas and activities that align with client objectives. 
  • Ensure all session artifacts are completed prior to, monitoring milestones and deadlines, managing cadence of meetings with EY and client sponsor
  • Act as a liaison between internal teams and clients to ensure clear communication and alignment.
  • Document session outcomes and outputs. 
  • Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement and optimization.
  • Embrace opportunities for growth and development, with the goal of advancing into a Senior Collaboration Designer role.
  • Contribute to the facilitation of a range of experiences and workshops
  • Immerse yourself in learnings around collaborative design (e.g. MG Taylor philosophy), Human-Centred Design, Design Thinking, experience design, facilitation and more!

  • 3-5 years professional experience in client-facing role
  • Experience in consulting, CX Practice in a top tier firm, or agency
  • Experience with human-centered design or design thinking principles.
  • Interest in facilitation and the ability to effectively engage with clients in collaborative settings.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to organise, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster positive relationships.
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to think strategically.
  • Detail-oriented mindset with a commitment to quality and accuracy.
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
