The Opportunity

As a Senior Manager within EY-Parthenon Strategy, you will take a leading role in the day-to-day management of complex strategy engagements, helping clients navigate high-impact commercial and organisational challenges. You will guide project teams, shape the approach to solving problems and ensure insights are translated into clear, practical recommendations. You will work closely with senior client stakeholders, build trusted relationships and create the conditions for teams to perform at their best. The role offers the opportunity to deepen your leadership and commercial capabilities while contributing to business development, developing Managers and Consultants, and helping shape the continued growth of the EY-Parthenon Strategy practice.

This is a hybrid role based in either Warrang – Sydney or Naarm – Melbourne.

Your key responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering strategic outcomes for our clients.

• Lead the delivery of complex strategy, transformation and commercial due diligence engagements, ensuring work is delivered on time and to a high standard.
• Structure complex business problems and guide teams to develop practical, evidence-based recommendations.
• Lead and coach engagement teams by setting direction, managing priorities and supporting the development of Managers and Consultants.
• Build trusted client relationships and act as the primary day-to-day contact throughout engagements.
• Lead client workshops, interviews and presentations, communicating complex ideas clearly and confidently.
• Manage project risks, support commercial performance and contribute to business development, practice initiatives and EY-Parthenon’s collaborative culture.

Skills and attributes for success 

• Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesise complex information into practical recommendations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Demonstrated ability to take ownership of workstreams and deliver high-quality outcomes in fast-paced environments.
• Experience coaching, supporting and leading small teams, including the development of junior team members.
• Commercial awareness, sound professional judgement and a collaborative approach to working in high-performing teams.
• A willingness to learn, adapt and commit to continuous personal and professional development.
• 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting, private equity, or corporate finance.
