Our transaction strategy and execution professionals help our clients with the development, evaluation and end-to-end execution of their transaction strategy. We deliver operational due diligence (including technology, operational and financial), deal management, and value creation advice and support. We advise our clients early to navigate transaction risk and increase value, from deal inception, to execution, and then driving toward longer-term transformation.
We cover a wide range of technology aspects in a transaction, including IT, software and data due diligence, separation or integration analysis, value creation, synergy assessments and supporting the integration or separation process from a technology workstream perspective. With an unrivalled track record in the industry, you will have the opportunity to be part of the largest integrations, separations and transition practice in Oceania.
We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Transaction Strategy and Execution (TSE) team within our Financial Services Practice based in our Warrang - Sydney Office. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options
Your key responsibilities
You will become part of an established team that values innovative thinking and provide you with the tools to design a career path as unique as you are. With us, you’ll be empowered to:
- Manage the delivery of technology and operational due diligence, post-merger integrations and separation / carve-out engagements, reporting to a Senior Manager, Director, or Partner.
- Analyse and evaluate operating models (including technology) and financial information.
- Apply your project management skills in an M&A process and develop a project plan for pre-deal, integration or separation.
- Apply your problem-solving skills to identify and support to mitigate key risks and issues our client is facing as part of an integration or separation program.
- Develop effective client relationships at the appropriate client level and being responsible for a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products.
Skills and attributes for success
- Some technology experience either in a consulting capacity, or as part of your role in industry,
- At a minimum, 2 of the 3 below attributes below:

- Experience working with financial institutions such as insurers, wealth and asset managers and/or banks
- Experience working in Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A)
- Minimum 3 years of consulting experience in a reputable consulting firm, investment bank or corporate development team
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Advanced problem-solving skills, curiosity and creative thinking.
- Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in delivering high-quality reports and presentations.
- Adept at building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients.
- Proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
