Strategy and Transaction Execution is a market leading team within the EY-Parthenon division that helps clients define and achieve their strategic objectives in acquisitions, divestments and strategic transformations.
We cover a wide range of operational aspects in a transaction from deal inception, execution and through to longer-term transformation. Our services include operational due diligence, operating model design, synergy assessments, integration and separation strategy, planning & implementation. In addition, we identify value creation opportunities driven by transactions and AI, reviewing our client’s strategy and operating model changes to optimise their cost structures.

As an experienced Manager or Senior Manager, you will become part of an established team that values innovative thinking and provides you with the tools to design a career path as unique as you are.
This is a hybrid position based in Warrang – Sydney.
Your key responsibilities
- Manage client engagement teams
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of integrations, carve-outs, and other types of transaction engagements.
- Apply your project execution skills, including synergy assessment, project management, problem-solving, and facilitation
- Analysing and evaluating operating models and financial information
- Develop effective client relationships at the appropriate client level and be responsible for a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products
- Identifying key client risks and issues, and mitigating these ahead of time
- Work across all functions of the business and during the implementation phase, touch areas of the whole organisation.
- Reporting directly to Directors and Partners
Skills and attributes for success
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience in Professional Services, Management Consulting, M&A or related corporate experience
- Advanced problem-solving skills, curiosity and creative thinking
- Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in delivering high-quality reports and presentations
- Adept at building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
- Proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
