The opportunity
As our Manager you’ll collaborate with many of the world's leading organisations, high growth companies, and private equity firms on some of the most sophisticated transactions in the global market. Your role will involve uncovering key value drivers, challenging assumptions about future performance, identifying hidden opportunities, and partnering with other EY service teams to deliver a seamless, end-to-end experience for our clients - before, during and after the deal.
We're currently hiring Managers for both our Sydney and Melbourne offices. Please let us know if you have a location preference.
Your key responsibilities
- Participate in due diligence engagements related to the acquisition or disposal of businesses by private equity investors or strategic corporate buyers. This includes analysing financial/operational results of targets through reviewing accounting records, conducting interviews with management, preparing/evaluating pro forma financial information, and identifying issues that impact purchase price and deal structuring.
- Project manage information flows and manage key stakeholders. Based on your analysis, write up your findings and recommendations to ensure clear communication and effective decision-making.
- Identify business development opportunities and assist Partners and Directors on proposals and new business opportunities. This involves drafting responses, participating in the proposal process, building client relationships, and demonstrating knowledge of client business.

- A bachelors or master's degree in accounting, business, finance or economics
- Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or international equivalent
- A strong work ethic and the ability to adapt to new challenges and ideas in a collaborative team environment
