The opportunity

 

We are looking for a Director within the Transaction Strategy and Execution team in our Sydney office to be a part of our Software and Technology diligence practice. This role is offered on a flexible full time or part-time basis.

 

Your key responsibilities   

 

  • Drive business development initiatives including leading sales proposals, scoping of projects, commercial negotiations and securing engagement approval from clients
  • Lead the delivery of Software / Technology Due Diligence assignments from inception to completion including project management and report writing
  • Build and maintain effective client relationships with senior stakeholders and be accountable for a high degree of client satisfaction with the engagement process and work products
  • Train, oversee and motivate a team of high-performing IT transaction professionals, working within the broader TSE team in Sydney and nationally
  • Maintain industry thought leadership on relevant topics such as software development practices, release methodologies, DevOps, cyber security, hosting and infrastructure and coding.

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • Software Engineering – Deep knowledge of software development processes and best practices
  • Broad knowledge of key IT functions such as Enterprise Architecture, IT Strategy and Governance, Systems Integration, Application Development, IT Service Delivery and Infrastructure Management
  • Project Management – lead project teams comprising of colleagues across the Strategy and Transactions division
  • Business and Commercially Driven – working in a fast-paced, exciting environment with strong business acumen to drive value for our clients
  • Written Reports – excellent report structuring and English writing skills, producing written work of the highest quality
  • Problem-solving – ability to deal with ambiguous challenges and work with assumptions to drive through to solutions on challenging IT transition situations
  • Business Development – drive client pursuits, including presentations and client meetings.  Contribute to our practice development initiatives, supporting the continued focus on our team as a great place to work
  • People development – coach and mentor team members to support achievement of their career goals
  • Building Relationships - strong working relationships with senior clients, including influence, advice and support to key decision makers

 

Ideally, you’ll also have

 

  • A bachelor’s and/or post graduate degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering,
  • A minimum of 10 years of related work experience
  • A proven record of excellence in software diligence and review
  • Experience in transactions with a demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Experience leading and managing in complex business environments
  • Excellent negotiation and influencing skills, and the ability to develop long-lasting relationships both internally and externally
  • Established networking skills in a relevant industry
