Job description

Requisition ID:  1491861

If we inspire you to do the work you love, will you still call it work?

At EY we believe that whoever you are, your uniqueness helps us stand apart.

We bring together extraordinary people, like you, to build a better working world.

Who we are:

We’re EY wavespace. We exist to help EY clients tackle their most complex challenges through the power of collaboration. We believe that people support what they help create and our focus is on harnessing the power of design (collaborative, human-centred, experiential, spatial, visual+) to help people solve problems together, faster.

Stripping back the jargon, we design multi-day sessions where clients come together to create something that moves the needle on their most important work. This could mean co-creating strategy, new operating models, roadmaps or new approaches to sticky challenges.

What we’re looking for:

We are seeking a creative and innovative Experiential Design Associate to join our team. As part of our delivery team, you will play a pivotal role in designing the immersive and magical elements that elevate our sessions.

Your responsibilities will include conceptualising and executing design solutions that engage participants, stimulate creativity, and foster collaboration. From crafting interactive in-person environments to designing digital inputs, you will be instrumental in creating memorable experiences that leave a lasting impact.

At your core, you believe in the power of creativity and design to enhance business outcomes. You have experience “on the tools” but bring your ideas to life in experiential ways.

Experiential Design Associate at wavespace:

  • Design strategies and activities to meet client outcomes, including how we bring the work to life in creative and immersive ways.
  • Lead the experiential elements of sessions, including environmental, spatial, visual, and emotional
  • Own and lead the development of all critical session inputs; managing, inspiring and insightfully challenging EY teams and clients through the process.
  • Lead the development of experience deliverables and outputs with engagement teams and clients.

Our wish list:

Here’s our ‘wish list’ but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your strengths, what you want to learn, and how far you want to go:

  • Strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in experiential design and creative problem-solving.
  • Ability to think outside the box and challenge traditional design conventions to create truly immersive experiences.
  • Ability to solve complex business problems with simple, industry-leading experience and design solutions.
  • Strong business acumen, including forethought, capacity for creativity, and adaptability.
  • Proficiency in design platforms and tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Miro, Figma (we don’t have strong preferences on the types of tools, we just need to know you can ‘make’)
  • Experience in HCD or design thinking.
  • Strong project management experience.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Passion for designing experiences that inspire, engage, and empower participants.
  • Experience with MG Taylor / collaborative design methodologies
