Deal Leader 

 

The opportunity

 

As our Deal Leader, you'll lead EY’s most strategic, complex and commercially significant pursuits across Audit and Assurance. You'll be responsible for developing and executing winning pursuit strategies, mobilising multidisciplinary teams, shaping commercial solutions and positioning EY’s strongest value proposition to clients. This role sits at the centre of high-profile opportunities and requires exceptional leadership, commercial acumen and the ability to influence senior stakeholders across EY and our clients.

 

This is a hybrid position based in Warrang – Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.

 

Your key responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development and execution of complex strategic pursuits, driving winning outcomes through strong deal strategy, commercial insight and stakeholder engagement.
  • Coach and mobilise high-performing pursuit teams, ensuring resources, capabilities and expertise are aligned to maximise the opportunity to win.
  • Engage with senior EY leadership and client stakeholders to shape solutions, negotiate commercial outcomes and drive pursuit momentum from opportunity identification through to contract close.

 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Extensive experience leading large, strategic and commercially complex pursuits within professional services, consulting, audit, business transformation or strategic sourcing environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen across pursuit strategy, deal economics, pricing, negotiation and value proposition development.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders, clients and pursuit teams in complex environments.
  • Proven experience leading multidisciplinary teams through end-to-end pursuit lifecycles, from qualification and solution development through to contract close
  • Outstanding communication, coaching and leadership capabilities with the ability to build momentum and alignment across diverse teams.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • Experience participating in multi-geography pursuits involving onshore, nearshore and offshore delivery models.
  • Exposure to Audit, managed services, strategic business transformation, IT transformation or other complex commercial deals.
  • A track record of developing innovative pursuit strategies that differentiate solutions and deliver value for clients and EY.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring and developing high-performing pursuit professionals and broader deal teams.
