The opportunity 

 

We are seeking experienced Data Engineers at all levels to join our EY Data and Analytics team in our Brisbane, Melbourne, Canberra and Sydney offices. This role is offered on a flexible, full-time basis. 

Due to the nature of the client, the successful candidate must be an Australian Citizen.

EY DnA is the data and advanced analytics capability within EY Asia-Pacific, with over 600 specialist employees working across multiple industry sectors.

We implement information-driven strategies and systems that help grow, optimize and protect client organizations.

We go beyond strategy and provide end to end implementation of real-life data environments and have some of the best architects, project managers, business analysts, data scientists, big data engineers, developers and consultants in the region.

 

Your key responsibilities:

 

  • Develop, design and implement data and analytics solutions that are flexible and sustainable, make optimal use of technologies and ensure achievement of client outcomes and objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end design activities that deliver self-service data and analytics solutions ensuring a user centred approach.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders to influence and achieve balanced outcomes, and to support automated deployment of solutions.
  • Undertake research and analysis regarding the design, development, implementation and evaluation of technical data and analytics products and ensure delivery of quality solutions.

 

Skills and attributes for success 

 

  • At least 3+ years’ experience in development with Python (preferably in AWS Cloud sphere)
  • Experience with AWS Glue, Lambda, SQL, Spark and Redshift
  • Previous experience working with data, data environments, databases, large data sets 
  • Knowledge and experience in end-to-end project delivery, either traditional SDLC or agile delivery methodologies (or hybrid approaches)

 

Ideally, you’ll also have experience

 

  • Engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Consulting, including engaging directly with clients
  • Ina delivery role on Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing, Big Data or analytics projects
