The opportunity

 

Transaction Strategy and Execution (FSO TSE) is a dedicated team within EY’s Strategy and Transactions division that helps Financial Services clients from the strategic study phase of the transaction lifecycle, through to deal execution, and transaction integration. The goal is to help our clients to achieve their best capital performance, deliver value to their stakeholders and meet their strategic goals.

Select services include carve-out readiness and support operational due diligence. The variety in sectors, scenarios, deals, and network building provides continual opportunities to apply your specialist knowledge and how you practically apply your wider talents to deliver commercial opportunities.

We are looking for Consultants or Senior Consultants to join our Transaction, Strategy and Execution (TSE) team within our Financial Services Practice in our Sydney Office.

 

Your key responsibilities

 

  • Analysing and evaluating operating models and financial information
  • Designing efficient ways to integrate acquisitions or separate divestments.
  • Developing deliverables in a fast-paced environment and presenting to clients
  • Identifying key client risks and issues, and mitigating these ahead of time
  • Project manage integration and divestment solutions over time by working with client systems and employees to achieve transaction objectives
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and report directly to senior members of the team

 

Skills and attributes for success 

 

  • Experience in Professional Services, Management Consulting, M&A or related corporate experience
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, curiosity and creative thinking
  • Demonstrated aptitude for quantitative and qualitative analysis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in delivering high-quality reports and presentations
  • Adept at building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and clients
  • Proficient at Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ideally, you’ll also have transaction or organisational transformation experience
