Senior Consultant / Consultant – Business Assurance & Advisory Services
The opportunity
As our Senior Consultant / Consultant you’ll have a strong background in Project Management Risks, Risks and Controls, Business Process, and IT General Controls. This role requires a deep understanding of SOX and other relevant compliance frameworks, as well as the ability to work collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
This role can be performed from any of our EY offices across Australia. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead and manage projects focused on providing Assurance and/or Assurance Advisory services around risk assessment, controls evaluation, and compliance initiatives.
- Collaborate with clients to develop and implement effective Business and Risk assurance strategies.
- Provide Assurance and/or Assurance Advise on ESG compliance and/or SOX compliance and other regulatory requirements.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, summarising findings and recommendations.
- Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to risk management and compliance.
What we look for
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Technology, or a related field.
- One or more of the following or equivalent +3 years of experience in providing Assurance or Assurance Advisory over Risk and Controls (Business Process and/or IT General Controls), Program and Project Risk Management services, Regulatory Compliance (e.g. Privacy, SoCI Act, ESG, SOX, Spam Act), Controls transformation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and team members.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CA, CIA, CPA, CISA, PMP or other relevant certifications) are a plus.

The salary range for this role is AUD $80,000 to AUD $98,000 inclusive of superannuation dependent on skills, experience and work location
