Consultant - Financial Services - Business Consulting
The opportunity
As a Consultant in Finance Strategy and Transformation, you'll play a key role in driving financial innovation and strategic change for our clients. You'll use your expertise to develop compelling business cases, contribute to the design of finance strategies, and be part of transformative projects that have a real impact on our clients' growth and efficiency.
This role is based in Warrang – Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and enhancement of financial models and strategies, driving innovation and efficiency within the financial services sector.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement cutting-edge financial software solutions, ensuring alignment with business objectives and operational excellence.
- Engage in complex project delivery, utilizing your expertise to provide actionable insights and recommendations that enhance client performance.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process optimization and automation in financial reporting and analysis.
- Contribute to the design and execution of finance transformation initiatives, leveraging industry best practices to deliver measurable results for clients.
Skills and attributes for success
- Proven experience in finance and business consulting, particularly within the financial services industry, such as banking, insurance, or wealth and asset management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and deliver insightful financial models and strategies.
- Familiarity with enterprise performance management software and financial systems, with experience in tools like Anaplan, Aptitude, or similar technologies.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex information clearly to diverse stakeholders and managing senior relationships effectively.
- A relevant academic degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field, with additional financial qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACMA, ACCA) considered advantageous.
- A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to emerging technologies and trends in the finance sector.
