Facilitator, Primary and Secondary Schools, Community Impact (Part Time) Melbourne 

 

The opportunity 

As our Facilitator, Primary and Secondary Schools, Community Impact you’ll focus on the delivery of a financial capability program to upper primary and secondary school-aged students. The program is aimed at equipping young people with basic money management skills and financial knowledge to set them up for their futures. In this role facilitators will be helping students navigate healthy conversations about money, set goals for themselves and understand their rights as young employees.

This role is based in Melbourne and is offered on a part time basis, 30 hours per week over 5 days.  Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options. 

 

Your key responsibilities 

  • Deliver high quality and engaging face to face financial literacy workshops to upper primary and secondary school-aged students across the Melbourne area (including surrounding regional areas and approximately two weeks travel to rural areas per year)  
  • Deliver virtual workshops to upper primary and secondary school-aged students.
  • Build and maintain successful relationships with schools to ensure continued partnerships 
  • Achieve KPIs related to workshop quality and evaluation feedback 
  • Act as an outstanding brand ambassador for our client  

 

In-school facilitation will typically take place within a 60km radius or up to a maximum of 1.5 hours drive of Melbourne and therefore travel is a requirement of this position. Ideally, the successful candidate will hold a valid driver’s license and have access to their own car with compulsory third-party insurance. 

 

Skills and attributes for success 

  • Previous experience in presenting, teaching, educating or performing; ideally to upper primary school age groups is highly regarded but not essential  
  • Ability to engage, inspire and motivate school-aged audiences through face-to-face and online mediums 
  • Must be able to quickly learn and retain content for presentations 
  •  As a Facilitator, you must hold or be eligible to obtain a valid and current Working with Children Check.

 

Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.

  • A self-motivated attitude, with the ability to work independently and remotely.
