Communications and Design Senior Consultant - People Consulting
About the team
Our People Consulting team is a creative, collaborative group of professionals who help organisations successfully deliver change. We’re not external marketers – we partner with clients undergoing transformation to drive engagement, adoption and behaviour change. From technology rollouts to cultural shifts, we use creative communications to cut through the noise and make change stick.
We work on our clients biggest transformation challenges from start to finish. Our value isn’t dropping in, building a campaign and moving on – it’s in shaping the creative foundation and then carrying it through writing, stakeholder engagement and adoption to the end of the journey.
The opportunity
This is a communications-led role with a creative mindset. You'll help turn transformation objectives into compelling narratives, campaign concepts and communications experiences, working with designers and other creative specialists to bring them to life and maintain their quality through delivery.
We're looking for someone with a marketing, communications or creative agency background who thinks like a communicator, works with a user experience mindset and has the creative capability to shape, brief and evolve high-quality campaign assets. You'll be comfortable working within established identities and brand guidelines, while also helping develop new creative approaches where the opportunity calls for it. You'll work on our clients highest-profile change and transformation programs, using creativity to influence how people think, feel and act.
This is a hybrid role based in Sydney. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options.
Your key responsibilities
- Lead the communications workstream on transformation programs – planning, writing and delivering content that drives adoption
- Design campaigns and write for a range of audiences and formats with an ability to make the complex simple and engaging
- Apply a user experience mindset to change communications – shaping the journey, not just the assets
- Brief and guide designers, videographers and other creative specialists, providing clear direction and maintaining quality and consistency across delivery.
- Translate complex change objectives into clear, engaging messages and creative experiences that help people understand, adopt and embed new ways of working.
- Tailor communications and visual content to align with client brand styles, tone of voice and campaign goals.
- Work directly with client stakeholders – shaping approaches, presenting ideas and seeing communications through to adoption
- Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, including communications, change and creative specialists, to deliver high-quality adoption and engagement outcomes.
Skills and attributes for success
- Experience in a marketing, creative agency, campaign, communications or consulting environment
- Excellent writing skills – able to shift tone and format across executive, people-leader and end-user audiences
- Experience developing campaign concepts and translating them into actionable briefs for designers, videographers or production teams.
- A strong eye for design and ideally a working capability in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign and Illustrator, with the ability to create or adapt high-quality communication materials when needed.
- Comfortable working within established client brands and visual identities, adapting communication materials to suit different audiences and environments.
- Confident presenting ideas and shaping communication approaches with stakeholders
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below, but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- A creative thinker who’s passionate about storytelling, adoption and design
- Exposure to motion graphics, video editing or multimedia content creation, including Premiere Pro or After Effects.
- Knowledge of change experience, behavioural insight or behaviour change methodologies.
- Experience on technology adoption programs, for example Microsoft 365 or Copilot rollouts.
