Collaboration Designer
The opportunity
As our Collaboration Designer, you’ll use wavespace and emerging human-centred design methods to design and deliver exceptional client experiences that help teams solve complex problems, align on outcomes and make decisions faster.
This role sits within Clients & Industries – Sales and Commercial Excellence, supporting business development efforts and signed engagements across market segments. You’ll work closely with EY and client teams to understand desired outcomes, then design immersive, collaborative experiences that bring those outcomes to life. Sessions may be delivered virtually, in person, or through a blend of both.
This is a hybrid position based in Warrang – Sydney or Naarm – Melbourne. Our roles can potentially be adjusted to work flexibly with reduced hours. Please speak with us about potential options..
Your key responsibilities
- Design and support the facilitation of interactive, high-quality client experiences that use wavespace methods, human-centred design practices and the wavespace experience design framework.
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of wavespace sessions, including planning, logistics, session preparation, stakeholder communication, delivery support, debriefs and follow-on activities.
- Build strong relationships with EY teams, client stakeholders and the broader wavespace network, contributing to reusable assets, success stories and the global experiences library.
Skills and attributes for success
- Experience designing and delivering collaborative workshops, client experiences, innovation sessions or strategic engagements.
- Strong project management capabilities, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, stakeholders and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to engage senior leaders, clients and multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience working with collaboration tools and virtual facilitation platforms to support engaging participant experiences.
Ideally, you’ll also have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.
- Experience using MG Taylor, design thinking, human-centred design or other collaborative workshop methodologies to design and deliver engaging group experiences.
- Experience supporting business transformation, strategy, innovation or customer-focused initiatives.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to synthesise information into meaningful insights and outcomes.
- A passion for creating engaging experiences and helping teams solve complex challenges through collaboration.
- Experience contributing to the design and delivery of workshops, leadership sessions, co-creation events or innovation experiences.
