Associate – Financial Services – Compliance 

 

The Opportunity 

As an Associate in the Compliance team within Financial Services Audit, you will be primarily responsible for conducting Compliance Plan and Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) Audits for Financial Services (FS) Clients, as well as working on a variety of Compliance Advisory engagements for both FS and non-FS Clients. Opportunities are at the Associate level, and the position is based in Warrang - Sydney. 
  

Your key responsibilities

  • Engage and work with some of the largest clients within Financial Services and provide insights and professionalism throughout interactions.
  • Work in a supportive team structure that has many years of experience in Compliance to execute compliance plan audits and effectively manage allocated tasks and regularly keep engagement leaders updated.
  • Stay updated with legislative and regulatory changes impacting clients. 
  • Display commitment to developing your skills and experience by engaging with the many learning opportunities across the EY organisation.  

 

Skills and attributes for success 

Ideally, you’ll have the skills and attributes below but don’t worry if you don’t tick all the boxes. We’re interested in your aptitude, attitude and willingness to learn.  

  • Proven experience in areas such as internal or external audit, or compliance and/or exposure to asset / fund management operations. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Strong attention to detail and a sceptical mindset
  •  A collaborative and proactive approach to working with clients and the team
  • Project management capability for handling multiple audits and deadlines.
