Your role as a Strategic Brand Lead

Tax & Law is one of EY’s four service lines and also one of the fastest growing.  It delivers services and solutions to help clients thrive in an era of rapid change, combining people and technology to help organizations meet their business goals. The Strategic Brand Lead for Nordic Tax & Law helps translate business priorities into marketing campaigns aligned with the firmwide brand strategy, integrating programs across Tax & Law, with industries and with other service lines. The role works closely with the Nordic leadership for Tax & Law in developing and executing the Brand, Marketing, Communications (BMC) plan, and collaborate closely with the full Nordic BMC team, including peer roles on European and Global level, as well as for EY’s other service lines in the Nordics.   

 

The role as Strategic brand lead for Tax & Law requires an experienced and resilient team player with inclusive people leadership skills. Strong relationships and collaborate skills are essential. Success in this role requires integration of the Tax & Law activations with the firmwide brand plan to enable the delivery of world-class brand, marketing and communications programs that help deliver revenue, reputation and relationship outcomes.  Success will be measured through EY’s global brand survey, campaign metrics, pipeline and sales metrics, analyst ratings and people engagement measures.

 

 

To qualify for the role you must have

 

  • Proven ability to manage complex processes and/or projects in international roles.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience in B2B marketing, including substantial experience of professional services and acknowledged expertise in marketing those services.
  • Outstanding communication abilities, which are required to connect the dots across the organization and act as a trusted advisor to the Tax & Law leadership team
  • Deep and current expertise in brand strategy and digital marketing, and ability to convey this expertise to support others to progress 
  • Proven leadership capabilities, experience leading and managing large, diverse and virtual high-performance teams 
  • Proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with senior-level stakeholders 

 

 

Skills and attributes for success

 

  • The role is accountable for developing an integrated strategic brand, marketing and communications plan for Tax & Law that drives revenue, relationships and reputation goals, working closely with key stakeholders
  • Creating and delivering innovative campaigns to increase awareness, preference, market share and revenue for new and existing solutions, services and products
  • Delivering high impact client experiences through digital channels, events and third-party collaborations 
  • Integration of EY’s purpose and corporate messaging into Tax & Law internal and external communications across paid, earned and owned channels to strengthen brand equity and audience engagement 
  • Adopting new ideas and technology to enable impactful audience-centric communications and operational effectiveness, e.g. marketing automation, AI 
  • Leveraging data and analytics to drive insights; developing and implementing metrics to measure results of marketing strategies; providing analysis and recommendations to support continuous growth, improved execution and team development 
  • Sharing expert knowledge in brand, marketing and communications issues, trends and long-term implications for EY 
  • Work closely with the other BMC senior leaders to drive performance goals of improving service delivery, quality and cost efficiency of the function. Managing agency relationships and budget responsibility 
  • Fosters a culture that respects diversity and inclusiveness and rewards and supports creativity and innovation within the BMC team 
  • Builds and lead a high-performing team and act as counsellor, mentor and coach 
  • Qualitative measures: quality, accuracy and timeliness of advice; 360-degree feedback 
  • Quantitative measures: share of voice, analyst reports, brand surveys, lead generation, people surveys 
  • The position holder will perform other responsibilities and tasks as required to achieve the agreed performance outcomes.
